I don't know what it says about me that I've been listening to the theme song from 'the Unit' for the best part of the day. (Except that I'm a sucker for military dramas and men in uniform and wow, there are some pretty boys on that show. Scott Foley and Max Martini, I'm looking at you two. Lots. And lots.)

Also, Max Martini is the awesomest name ever and totally sounds like a comic book character.

I want to be all random today. Therefore I shall say that I am addicted to Shortland Street, or at least to the saga of Alice and Craig; the postie folded my copy of Ultimate X-Men 11 to fit in the letterbox (folded it!); and I couldn't sleep last night so I was awake for hours doing things like writing some Addie/Alex for the as-yet unfinished Grey's fic, reciting everything from the foreword to Gaudy Night to the states of America in alphabetical order, and plotting the best movie ever, which is like a cross between Firefly, McLeod's Daughters, Alias and the Amazing Race, and is really just an excuse for really pretty people to be in a movie together.

So, last night's Grey's Anatomy: is it just me, or was my girl even more stunningly beautiful than usual?

I LOVE HER SO MUCH. I must express my love with CAPSLOCK.

Also, I think Grey's has the weirdest pairing names I've ever seen. Burke/Christina seems to be Burktina and Bang, and Alex/Addison is Addex or Addisex, which would be kind of cute if the latter contained sex and the former didn't, but they seem to be used arbitrarily, and then there's Gizzie and McStizzie, and MerDer (somewhat appropriate, as Derek/Meredith does tend to inspire murderous rage in me) and Maddison, which always makes me think Meredith/Addison but I think is actually Mark/Addison.

I do not get the appeal of these names. At all.

I have this insane love for McLeod's Daughters at the moment. Beautiful scenery, hot girls, hot boys, gorgeous horses, decent plotlines. What's not to love?

Watching the first season of Alias. Gina Torres is hot.

But I already knew that.

When it comes to television, I'm all about the pretty girls. I'm shallow like that.

I have a new obsession. It is the UK Lost promo and it is so very, very, very pretty and also slightly disturbing, in a wonderfully fascinating kind of way. It has dancing, and pretty girls in dresses and dark smudged makeup, and Jack and Kate not quite kissing, and a creepy echoing voiceover.

Also, Claire dancing with Boone, but I don't pretend to understand that.
