Jul. 22nd, 2007 10:33 amSo, Harry Potter day. I went to Borders at Sylvia Park, and sat in line for an hour and a half. There were clips on 3 News, but I didn't see me. I was about thirty people from the front and spent most of the time reading a Mary Higgins Clark book I grabbed off the table. My favourite source of amusement was the middle-aged woman behind me telling the people around her that she was only in line for the Beanie Baby owl they were giving out free with the books.
It was good fun, really. There's nothing like listening to announcements (every fifteen minutes) from a woman dressed as Umbridge, or receiving your book from Mad-Eye Moody.

And now for something non-Harry Potter related from the Armageddon website: We also hope to be able to announce a special Serenity/Stargate Con for September, stay tuned! That's short notice, but it sounds fairly likely to go ahead if they're announcing even a possibility of it, right? I am so there, people. Er, assuming it goes ahead, and also assuming it's in Auckland.
