fic by me meme
Jan. 25th, 2006 01:34 pmThe Ten Ways to Tell You're Reading a Fic By Me meme:
There is little to no plot. On the rare occasions that plot occurs, it has holes in it the size of a spaceship. (A Firefly-class transport, to be exact.)
It's probably a one-shot. If it has chapters, they get progressively worse in quality.
It probably focuses around two people finding each other/trying to make a life together despite obstacles caused by their personalities/pasts/environments.
It ends hopefully, but not necessarily happily, and does not always resolve everything.
There are bizarre metaphors or combinations of words that may not make literal sense, just because they worked to create whatever atmosphere/emotion I was going for.
It has soppy romance in it.
It's sitting unfinished on my computer. (In which case, you aren't reading it, and therefore this is not a relevant answer.)
The POV is generally third person limited, and if it's a multi-chapter fic the POV will change from chapter to chapter.
British spellings. Colour and favourite and all that jazz.
Action scenes are described as briefly as possible and sex scenes are non-existent, because I can write neither.
