Fic! Took a hell of a lot of words to get these two together, but here it is. My first foray into Firefly fic.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: The title comes from the Allan Curnow poem of the same name, but that's where the resemblance ends, because the poem's about a beach (Karekare? Can't remember) and the fic's about two people on a spaceship.
