Every time I watch CSI:New York (which ends up meaning about half of each week's ep when I get home from work) I get really, incredibly annoyed about that cast pic TV3 flashes up before they go to ad breaks. It's still got Vanessa Ferlito in it, when Aiden left really quite a lot of eps ago. Anna Belknap. It should have Anna Belknap, and I check every time and it doesn't.

It's not quite as annoying as when TV Guide kept spelling Sara Sidle's name as "Sarah", but it's pretty close.

OMG! I really get annoyed with that too (the wrong cast pic). I don't quite know if it flashes on ad breaks, but it definitely flashes on before the evening news (like..."after CSI:NY [insert cast pic], watch tonight's news..."). Anyway, it's very annoying.

And the reason I actually commented on this entry: at the end of the previous semester I wanted to write a research paper on women and minorities in science television shows (although it turned out to be a research paper on women and minorities in science advertisements, but that's beside the point). Anyway, I was reading this analysis of mise-en-scene in CSI or something and the author spelled Sara's name wrong the whole time. And I was reading this while on the elliptical in the gym, and out of nowhere I go..."For heaven's sake, please spell the character's name right!" and everybody in the gym just looked at me. Um...hum. yeah. Anyway, the point being, it's REALLY annoying. But, I heart the TV Guide Magazine.
