2. I will give you a letter.
3. Think of 5 fictional characters who's names start with this letter, and post their names and your comments on these characters in your LJ.
aimeesworld said "I" and I said "Oh crap."
1: Ivanova (Commander Susan), Babylon 5: "I am Susan Ivanova. Commander. Daughter of Andrei and Sophie Ivanov. I am the right hand of vengeance and the boot that is gonna kick your sorry ass all the way back to Earth, sweetheart. I am death incarnate and the last living thing you are ever going to see. God sent me." Ivanova is the coolest person ever to run (practically) a space station or command a fleet. Especially when dealing with a) recalcitrant Drazi, b) telepaths or c) Marcus Cole.
2: Ishta (or possibly Ish'ta), Stargate SG-1: The shallow part of me wants to point out that Ishta is really hot. Also, she kicks ass. I know she only appeared in a handful of episodes (like maybe two) but considering SG-1's track record with women, Ishta stands out, first for existing and second for being cool.
3: Ilonka Barckoz, the Chalet School: Lonny was the fifth member of the Quintette, the one about whom we knew very little and who rather paled beside the more extravagant characters of Margia, Evvy and Corney. I can't, off the top of my head, think of anything she did that wasn't with the others. Yet, despite it all, Lonny's still in my Top Ten Chalet School Characters, alongside the rest of her clan. I like my Lonny.
4: Ilse Burnley, Emily of New Moon: I remember endless debates - or conversations, rather - over at the old Avonlea.org boards about how to pronounce her name. I've always thought of it as "Il-sa", but I could be wrong. Anyway, Ilse: firey and unpredictable, I seem to recall, and constantly baffling poor Emily, who loved her anyway, in that very Emily way of hers. Emily, Ilse, Teddy and Perry: so much fun.
5: Ironfoundersson, Captain Carrot, Discworld: Carrot is just this awesome mixture of naivety and cunning. Besides, everyone loves Carrot. That's kind of the point of Carrot.
