Vague, occasionally spoilery thoughts on the new season's TV:
Well, I adore Hiro, and I like Matt (but that could have more to do with Greg Grunberg than the character), and the plot intrigues me enough to keep watching... but I'm not all that excited about it.
Claire's father is wonderfully creepy in a creepy kind of way. Yes, I am aware that that makes absolutely no sense, but he's probably the character I'm most interested in.
Also, do cheerleaders wear their uniforms to school every day? Claire doesn't seem to go to school in anything else.
I'm not sure how I feel about Cam. It all depends on whether she's going to be a character or just a plot device.
These episodes seem to have a different feel from season one, but I can't put my finger on why.
Bones is a rare show for me: one where I actually like all the main characters. Admittedly, Hodgins pisses me off at times, but that's Hodgins, that's what he does. I'll probably be happy with this season if they keep the team dynamic and character interaction, especially Booth and Brennan. I don't think we're going to get anything romantic from them this season, but if we get some more moments like those from the end of last season (Two Bodies in the Lab, the Soldier on the Grave, the Woman in Limbo) I'll be a happy little fan.
Also, I miss Goodman. Goodman was awesome. And Parker is adorable.
This show didn't hold my interest through season two and I missed a few episodes because I just couldn't be bothered watching it, but they've got me interested in the Others. I want to find out how they live, how their society works, who they are and all that. If TPTB just keep stringing it out, producing more questions than answers, then I'm not sure that even the gorgeousness of Evangeline Lilly will keep me watching. They've got to find the balance between tension and frustration for the viewers and I don't think they've managed it yet.
I also would like to know about the polar bears (probably connected to Sawyer's cage, but I want more!) and the monster, thanks.
It would have been nice to have seen the other survivors.
Was Henry=Ben supposed to be some big revelation at the end? Because I'd forgotten he'd gone by Henry Gale and just assumed all through the episode that he was Ben. It was pretty obvious.
Also, I am amused by Sawyer being dumber than the bears.
I'd heard so much good stuff about Supernatural that I was starting to think it couldn't possibly be that good - Veronica Mars, for me, didn't live up to the hype and I was starting to expect the same thing from Supernatural.
I was hooked by the first commercial break. They showed eps one and two back to back, and they held my attention pretty much the whole way through. I usually get distracted by something or other while watching TV, so that's unusual for me.
I like Sam. I like Dean. I like their music (and there was some squeeing when they were listening to "Hot Blooded", because I'm a total Booth/Brennan shipper and I'd just been watching "Two Bodies in the Lab" that morning).

In Lost I kept waiting to see what happened in the Hatch. So I guess it will be next week? I hope so. I postulate that season 1 was mostly about the Jack and gang from the front half of the plane and teasers about the others & the island. Season 2 was learning more about the Darma corporation, teasing about the others and the integration of the tails section of the plane and their journey. Season 3 is about the others? And that is what I find intriguing. Who are they? They have access to information outside the island? Are the others hiding? Remnants of the Darma inhabitants? If so why don't they leave? Why is there this 'Lord of the flies' thing going on? Are there more people besides the others that we have seen? Another 'others'? I have not seen season 3 and I am trying to avoid all spoilers - I know one thing that happens though unfortunately *for the lack of a spoiler cut* and someone at work went to Hawaii last year and watched the first 4 episodes. I have told her to not say a word... The other thing I find interesting is all the little teasers or hints they give and you wonder when they are going to go back to that and incorporate it into an episode.
That Sawyer bit made me laugh!
Heroes - someone told me that out of Supernatural and Heroes they preferred Supernatural - Heroes was too Lost-like. All those threads and teasers. I suppose you could think of it like that. I have seen up to eps 11 and I am still trying to figure things out.
