Don't you hate the feeling where you write a perfectly good fic in your head - but when you start typing it out you realise it's crap?

I tried to write a post-ep to last night's McLeod's Daughters and some Sam/Jack fluff. Both fics sounded good in my head when I was thinking them over at work this morning, but now? Uck. Terrible.

Yes! ::banging head on desk, sloshing coffee that resembles my life's blood but isn't really, no, it's not!::

And, for me, it is usually the mood/ tone that just falls flat. The ambiance you had in your mind doesn't Fit with the paper/ screen & you want to carve it, whip it, fling the sentences around but you can See... it Is without hope, except, maybe, you know, this One Word here...... ::grin::

For me it's all of it - mood, tone, words that seemed to go together so well that just don't when I see them written down.

Although I'm glad it's not just me - but sorry it happens to other people as well!
