Wow. So, long time no post.
I'm just coming out of a two week long new fandom blitz in which my life was utterly devoted to Aussie drama Sea Patrol. I watched all 39 episodes in eight days and am now rewatching the show grabbing clips for not one but two fanvids. I don't even know.
The fourth season starts airing in Australia tomorrow, but I'm having a fanbrat moment and am not entirely sure I wish to acknowledge it's existence because my beloved Nav (Nikki Caetano, played by Saskia Burmeister) is not returning for the fourth season, along with my second favourite character Buffer (Pete Tomaszewski, played by Jeremy Lindsay Taylor) and comic relief Spider (Billy Webb, played by Jay Ryan who is now on Go Girls). And I read this in TV Guide months ago when I was only a casual viewer, and the only one of those I recognised was Nav because there are only three women in the cast and also because Saskia played Erica Yurken in the movie adaptation of Hating Alison Ashley, but now I am in mourning because I cannot have Sea Patrol without Nav. I could handle the absence of Buffer and/or Spider, but not my girl - to the extent that I can't watch the end of the final episode of season three because of Mike's reference to those who are moving on to other postings and how it may be some time before they serve together again. Hell, I can barely write it.
